An opportunity has become available for an experienced and driven WHS Officer in our Kensington office.

Reporting to the HR Manager - Workplace Health & Safety, this person will be responsible for the implementation of the HR and WHS system and strategy across designated portfolio's within the business and will ensure the operations of the sites are compliant with relevant legislation and company policies. This position will be key in driving Safety and HR initiatives resulting in improved safety performance and better employee relation outcomes. 
 
The role will require someone who in addition to being able to demonstrate ability to develop preventative WHS strategies is also able to actively contribute to lag indicators through the Injury Management strategy.
 
Responsibilities include: 
 
• Implementation and maintenance of all WHS and HR systems and processes. 
• Implementation of the AS4801 Standard to all sites. 
• Providing advice and guidance to senior managers of the business for both HR and WHS enquiries. 
• Incident and accident investigation reporting. 
• Return to work support to business unit and injury manager.
• Collation of monthly HR / WHS reports to senior managers and stakeholders.
• Facilitation of HR / WHS Training packages.
• Conduct safety audits and carry out risk assessments where necessary or required 
• Support your business portfolio with recruitment support. 
• Deliver engagement strategies to the business and maintain their progress.
• Support business managers in completing the succession planning process. 
• Support business managers in completing of performance appraisals. 
 
About the candidate: 
 
• Minimum of 3 -5 years demonstrated experience in similar roles. 
• Relevant qualifications in discipline such as safety or Human Resources or similar. Minimum Cert IV level.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders within the organisation.  
• Ability to have a dual role within a busy working environment. 
• You will be very organised and be able to work automatously and be efficient in being proactive and reactive. 
• Experience in the facility management  or services industry is highly desirable.
