Head Gardener – Noorilim Estate (Victoria, Australia)
Salary: $90,000 – $105,000 + Super | Full-Time | Residential Estate

About Noorilim Estate:
Nestled in the heart of regional Victoria, Noorilim Estate is a distinguished private property known for its expansive gardens, heritage features, and commitment to horticultural excellence. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Gardener to take stewardship of our prestigious grounds and lead the continued development and care of the estate’s landscape.

The Role:
As Head Gardener, you will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and creative direction of all gardens and grounds across the estate. You will work closely with, and report directly to, the estate owner, taking pride in ensuring that Noorilim remains a beautifully presented and thoughtfully managed property year-round.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day gardening and groundskeeping activities
  • Design, plan and implement planting schedules, seasonal displays, and landscape improvements
  • Lead and manage any additional garden staff or contractors
  • Monitor plant health and manage pest, disease, and weed control
  • Operate and maintain irrigation systems and garden equipment
  • Ensure presentation standards meet the expectations of a high-profile private estate
  • Maintain garden records and manage horticultural budgets

About You:

  • Proven experience in a senior gardening or horticultural role, preferably within a private estate or heritage property
  • Formal qualifications in horticulture or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of plant species, pruning, soil health, and sustainable garden practices
  • Hands-on, practical, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable liaising with the estate owner and able to interpret and deliver on their vision
